Christian Education For Children
The Congregational Christian Noah Webster, a great proponent of teaching the Christian faith, once wrote “The heart should be cultivated with more assiduity than the head.”
We value the education and nurture of all children and youth. Through Sunday school, special attendance at worship, and events, we seek to help our children develop a personal relationship with God, Jesus Christ, and our congregation. Our Sunday school meets each week at the same time as our worship service—9:30 am.
Nursery care for younger children (infants through age 4) is available in the parish house.
We are a safe church, meaning that we comply with Child Safety policies and we CORI all staff and church school staff regularly.
Young people in the 7-8 grades are given the opportunity to explore their faith through a a program including study of world religions, Christianity, Congregationalism, and the history of First Congregational Church.
